As the founder and owner of Bark Avenue Daycamp LLC in Bartlett, IL, I have had the extreme pleasure of watching my business grow and watch so many dogs come through our doors. I have seen these dogs literally grow up before my eyes and my staff and I have become extended family to so many clients. In our 16 years, we have been fortunate enough to see multiple generations of family pets for puppy training, dog obedience training, dog boarding, dog daycare, and dog grooming. We have also been able to share in the joys of our clients as babies are born, children graduating, and many marriages. We have also been able to provide comfort and support to our clients as they work through the many struggles life can bring. Has it been hard work and challenging at times (like surviving a pandemic!)? You bet! Would I do it all again – absolutely!

This was truly a second chapter in my life after leaving the corporate world. I have learned so many lessons and learned more about running a business than I ever could imagine. I have been blessed with the opportunity to build a strong management team that works beside me every day and truly now handles most all of the day-to-day activities. They make it possible for me to continue to do the work I love, which is helping not only as many dogs as possible but also helping people.
