Read What Customers Have to Say About Bark Avenue Daycamp

We pride ourselves on strong customer service and we love to share what our clients have shared with us. Come in anytime and you will see the difference with Bark Avenue Daycamp and why people that love their dogs, love us as well.

We take our 2 boys (Hooper & Chief) mostly on the weekends! As soon as we make the turn onto Hecht Dr they start wiggling & barking in anticipation. I now have to ensure my window locks are on as one of my boys has actually rolled down the window & jumped out to get the the door faster than I can park! The staff at Bark Avenue are exceptional, they always greet my boys by name & the dogs couldn’t be happier to see them. They have a lot of fun with other dogs as well as the staff. I also love the community involvement such as the “doggie grab bag” at Christmas time. Our family couldn’t live without Bark Avenue!!!!!!

My rescue dog came from a very abusive home. It took him a long time to understand play and how to behave appropriately. Bark Avenue was a haven. Every single person that works there from the front line staff to the owner is passionate about what they do. Each dog is treated with personal care. My Buddy, my mastiff pit bull mix, has some special needs that they are more than happy to accommodate. I went from having a dog who I could not even get in the car to a dog who is excited to go play with his friends and comes home completely tuckered out. Bark Avenue is incredible!

Our dogs love Bark Avenue & so do we. We have taken our three year old male there for day camp twice a week and also for boarding for well over two years and never had any illness or issues. He has been there well over 200 times now. We also have a new female who has joined him on his bi-weekly visits for the past eight months also with no problems. They look forward to going there and are more relaxed when they come back home. Bark Avenue really has helped us keep our dogs happy and gives them the exercise we feel they need. It is always apparent to us that Bark Avenue is a labor of love and not just a business for the people who work there.

This was a good experience and I will use Bark Avenue again, and would suggest that anyone looking for a professional, caring place to board your dog’s check into Bark Avenue. We recently took our 2 small dogs to Bark Avenue to be boarded for 6 days. Since we had never previously boarded them and I was very nervous to leave them anywhere we really investigated Bark Avenue. Prior to your dog being boarded at Bark Avenue, you are required to provide Vet records to ensure your dog is healthy and is up-to-date on their shots, flea and tick medication, as well as fecal testing for parasites. A second requirement by Bark Avenue is your dog must pass a socialization test. This felt very professional and matched what our Vet discussed with us to look for in a boarding facility. Additionally, we “dropped-in” unannounced twice to check out Bark Avenue – they were as professional both when we had an appointment and when we came unannounced. Our Vet was impressed with their requirements, and wanted our feed-back if we utilized them for boarding. The only negative that she had ever heard about them is that they are expensive. After leaving my two dogs with Bark Avenue, I appreciated receiving phone calls to let me know my dogs were doing well and playing with the other dogs and being “good”. They also were very patient with my daily phone calls to check on my babies. When we picked them up, they were healthy, happy and well cared for. My only suggestion for improvement is that I would have liked the offer of them being bathed prior to pick-up – after six days of boarding and playing with the dogs – they needed a shampoo. The staff really seems to care and love dogs, it’s a fun place for the dogs to run and play all day and not be stuck in cages all day and night. We will use them again.

Bosco loves coming here for daycare and I love that happy look he gets on his face when we pull up. He boards here once or twice a year but comes for daycare all the time. I tell everyone with a dog about this place. I’m glad we found it.

I would recommend Bark Avenue to anyone with a dog. They go way above and beyond ensuring that your dog is happy and healthy while boarding. They encourage you to call as often as you like for your peace of mind and I love that the customer service here is awesome. My dog plays all day every day while he boards here (at least once per month) and the tour they gave me when I first came showed me how clean and friendly this place is.

Highly recommend this place for daycamp and boarding! This is an hour north of our home, but we went here based on a friend’s recommendation. The facility is very big and very clean. We were taken on a tour, and during the tour we were told that the dogs are out all day and allowed to run around and play in what is essentially a warehouse with a cement floor (easy clean-up!). If the weather is nice, they open the large overhead garage door to a grassy, fenced area, so the dogs can play outside. Our dog loved playing with, and sniffing, the dogs on the tour, so you can only imagine how exhausted he was from being there an entire week! I almost felt guilty taking him home to our townhome with an unfenced yard. We dropped off our dog on a Monday morning, just prior to 6:30 a.m. when they open. I was relieved that they took him early without any hassle. We paid the same price here for what we’d pay at PetSmart (a place I will only use in an emergency now). There’s also a 15% off coupon on their website, so for a 5-night stay, we saved about $30. There’s an additional discount (10% I think) if you are referred by someone. We had a little difficulty scheduling an appointment, the man on the phone was a bit gruff and somewhat inflexible with scheduling, but I won’t change my view on the place based on that.

There’s no better of a person to take care of your pup than Michelle! Her and her team are amazing!

Ginger, our Boxer, loves Bark Avenue Daycamp. She is very friendly and is always happy in the car on the way there. Upon pulling into the parking lot, she cannot wait to get out of the car and get inside to see her friends there. The staff has been wonderful and extremely knowledgeable on how to take care of and introduce new dogs as they arrive. Ginger is our pride and joy and we would never let her go anywhere that we felt would not be good to her.

The Bishea Family

My dog has been soo happy going when we go on vacation. When we get home he looks great and well taken care of by an animal loving crew there! Thanks for the excellent care.

Kristy Newlin Kron

Love Bark Ave… exercise and interaction with other dogs and he doesn’t have to be home alone while we work!!!

Karen Abbott Weedman

Great place for your dog! Great people running it!!

Dan Rumishek

We love Bark Avenue! Every dog should be so lucky to go to Bark Ave. The staff is awesome! Thanks so much guys!

Michelle Steele Schroeder

We have to be careful not to say the word “camp” in front of Lucy Lu unless we are taking her that very minute. Lu has so much fun at Bark Ave. We pull up in the parking lot and she is spinning in circles, barking and can’t wait to get in to visit all her friends. Thank you for giving Lucy Bell a fun, safe place to play!

Vicki Krekorian

Our boxer, Manny, loves this place! We are from Michigan but my in-laws live here and boy are they a lifesaver on busy weekend visits when we need help wearing him out!

Cristy Leonido

Miley loves going to camp. We also can’t say the word camp, she will go stand by her leash. It has helped calm her down. I tell all my friends and family about Bark Avenue.

Cindy Costa

If you’re looking for a place that your dog will feel is home. Then this is the place for you. My dog Homer is treated so well and loved so much he cannot wait to get there! Thank you to all of you who take the time and caring to make our Homer feel safe and loved, he gets so excited to come and play with all his friends. Four legged and two legged!!

Special shout out to Bark Avenue Daycamp for helping our little April learn to socialize with other dogs. When we first got her she was aggressive toward other dogs and could barely handle a walk around the block without wanting to charge at another dog. She is now doing great and only needs little corrections here and there. BIG THANK YOU! Life is A LOT LESS stressful!

Tee Lipp

Bark Avenue is a godsend. Our dog just completed his 4th extended stay. They are caring and attentive and Guinness always looks forward to going there. This time, at 10 years old, was a bigger worry but as always, we came back to a happy, healthy and very well taken care of, dog! Thank you all and thank you Jessica, for the photos. They really helped the time pass, knowing he was in good hands.

Carol Butera-Voitl

We can’t say the words “dog camp” without our dog going crazy! She loves to come and play with her furry friends and the staff. The staff all know her by name when we walk in. Highly recommend!

Melanie Knickrehm Sibiski

Best place ever! Love bringing Zac and Zoe here for camp! They love it and they are exhausted when they get home! A good puppy is a tired puppy!

Cherise Manno

Our dogs have been to Bark Avenue several times for day camp and love it! They seem to have a lot of fun and really like the workers. I also think the people who work there are awesome. Always very accommodating, polite, happy to answer questions, and most importantly seem to love the dogs and their jobs. Highly recommend Bark Avenue!!

Bruno starts wagging his little behind as soon as we say daycamp- he loves going there and we feel a bit carefree knowing he is in good hands when we are not around.

Hi Everybody!

My name is Monty, I am a 7 year old rescued Australian Shepherd with a tail!!! YAY! My parents rescued me when I was 8 weeks old in July of 2008. Many of you may have seen me walking on the bike path with my Mom and our neighbor “Deeg”.

Since I am a herding dog, and we don’t have any cows or sheep in our back yard, I need a lot of mental and physical stimulation, (or I guess I drive my parents NUTS??) So,…. I get to go to Bark Avenue Day Camp three days a week (my parents call it “school”… I call it “FUN”!!) I have been going there since I was 6 months old, and have SOOO many friends there. The humans are AWESOME, and my fellow doggies are my BEST friends!!

The things I love about Doggie Daycare are…. I can play with whomever I want (WooHoo!), but, NOBODY can be a bully or they get scolded, we have a pool and sprinklers for outside in the summer, or we can stay inside where it’s shaded, my parents say it’s affordable (whatever that means?), our play area is HUGE, we ALWAYS have fresh water and “clean” floors, and EVERYBODY loves it there,!!

Come check it out and be my new friend! I LOVE new friends!!

Monty Krieter

My three dogs Buddy, Maximus, & Dexter loveeeeeee bark avenue! The staff is extremely kind not only to us, but to our dogs! They love our boys like they are their own, & I love that the staff can remember who they are when they come in. I always feel comfortable leaving my boys with Bark Avenue! Oh & they post pictures!!! That just proves they aren’t afraid to show what their “play area” looks like. Always clean, & looks like our boys have so much fun every time!

Rachel Christine Geick

We’ve brought our puppy here a few times now. It is a great way to have her burn off some energy during the day while we are at work! She always comes home exhausted which is a bonus for us. I also love seeing the photos of her day on Facebook. Staff is always very friendly.

Melissa B.

We bring our dog Aaron in about once a week to doggy day care and he absolutely LOVES it! He comes home exhausted from running around and playing all day. Each morning Aaron waits by the door to see if we are going to day care that day! The staff is great and know each dog individually. I love that they put up videos and pictures each day of the dogs, it lets me see how much fun he is having!

Allison B.

We left our dog Kaya for 10 days at Bark Avenue while we went to Mexico on vacation. Michelle made us feel very comfortable about leaving our baby there. We were given a tour of the facility and shown where Kaya would be sleeping. We called several times and everyone took the time to give us an update. She had lots of playtime, and since we also paid for training, she worked very hard as well! The trainer is just like the “dog whisperer”. He is truly amazing, and we are continuing her training there in his classes.

Lisa Foreman

Bark Avenue is the only place I have ever trusted to watch/board my dog. He goes here 2 to 3 times every week for daycare. He also comes here for “distraction” training class once per week. He has also been CGC certified through Bark Avenue with the A.K.C. My dog has a lot of allergies and Bark Avenue goes an extra mile whenever he comes in for a grooming and ensures he is well taken care of in every way. They take care of my dog like he is their dog. You can’t get better than that as far as piece of mind.

I was looking for a place to board our puppy while we went on vacation. I couldn’t find anywhere that I truly trusted until Bark Avenue. We took him to their free Puppy Playtime on Saturdays and what we found was an immaculate space with happy dogs and a friendly, knowledgeable staff who clearly love dogs. These are people who enjoy their work and they take an interest in all the dogs in their care. The best part is that the dogs who board there are not locked up all day. They are let out to play with the daycare dogs (closely supervised). You can also have your dog trained while you’re away! My family went to Disney World and I think our dog actually had more fun than we did. I called to check on him and they were delighted to share his antics with me. I felt no guilt about leaving him at Bark Ave and I just regret he can’t go back more often. I can’t recommend this place highly enough!

I first heard of Bark Avenue Daycamp about 6 yrs ago. I volunteered at West Suburban Humane Society and was having issues with my 5 yr old mixed breed dog. I boarded my dog for 2 weeks of intensive training pertaining to his issues, at Bark Avenue. Everyone was so caring & helpful. He is a totally different dog!! I have done obedience, distraction & agility classes at Bark Avenue. Whenever I have gone on vacation, I only board my dogs at Bark Avenue. They are the only ones I trust with my dogs. Even though they are an hour away from me, the peace & trust I feel leaving my dogs there, are worth it!!! I am the client that calls every day to see how her dogs are……they are nothing but kind & understanding. They are worth the visit!

I took advantage of Bark Avenue’s free puppy play time and at the same time my puppy played for free, I learned a lot about my dog. Now my dog comes to daycare every week and boards here as well several times per year. I’ve been a customer now for 2 1/2 years and have never had 1 problem. My dog is well socialized, well trained and an absolute joy. Thank you Bark Avenue.

Sam

I have an energetic border collie/lab mix and he was out of control. I knew I needed help with training. First I took him to another local daycamp/training facility and they rejected him saying they couldn’t control him. A coworker suggested Bark Ave. I took him there hoping they could help. At the initial meeting they agreed that he was “nuts” but that he was a sweet dog. They showed me what his social problems were and said they could help. I left him there for a week long board and train, and Staff did wonders w/ my pup! My friends were stunned at the transformation. Now, a year later, he is still energetic but much more manageable. Since our training we’ve added two cats to the family. And while the 3 of them aren’t best friends they are cohabiting, something that would not have happened if we didn’t get the skills needed to handle him. I wish I was closer so I could use the day care service on a regular basis b/c I know I’d have a very happy (and very tired) dog. But every time I go away for a weekend or vacation I make his reservations at Bark Ave. He loves the staff and the interaction w/ other dogs, and, more importantly, I know he’s getting the best care.

I have seen taking my pit bull Prince that does therapy work to their staff trainer, for obedience training, and he is by far the best trainer I have ever had. (I have worked in pit bull rescue for over 10 years and have had many, many dog trainers work with my foster dogs, and no doubt he is the very best at what he does!) He has an amazing ability to control dogs with his firm and yet gentle nature. He also worked wonders with our very challenging and dog aggressive mix breed Mosley. I can’t say enough good things, my husband and I completely love him! As for their daycare, I’m equally as impressed. They are the ONLY place I will take my dog after numerous bad experiences at other daycares. Prince loves Bark Ave, they have tons of room for the dogs to play, it’s clean, well staffed with trained, educated and friendly people and they always make me and my dog feel very welcome and greet us by name when we come in. I LOVE LOVE LOVE Bark Avenue and highly recommend it!!!!!!!!!! =)

Amanda R.

Recently sent my young crazy puppy here for training and within two weeks the trainers had him listening off leash outside!!! I didn’t think he would ever listen inside much less outside. I did a go home lesson and they showed me how to do everything and control my dog both inside and out. Thanks guys.

Dear Michelle and the rest of the staff at Bark Avenue,

Thank you for providing such a great service to my clients, their pets, and my own dog, Finley. I always feel comfortable when leaving Finley at Bark Avenue and confident that you provide a safe environment for all of the dogs. I must admit, that as a veterinarian, I used to be hesitant of dog daycare facilities, because I was always concerned about fights and injuries occurring. I always envisioned this type of facility as an area where dogs of all types are just “put together.”

Contrary to that belief, I have learned from visiting your facility several times, watching the dogs and staff interact, and speaking with their trainer, that in a properly controlled environment like yours, behaviors that lead up to problems are extinguished before they escalate. The ratio of staff to dogs is very comforting, and knowing that the staff is well-trained in dog behavior is comforting as well.

Of course, as in any daycare facility (dog or child), unexpected things can happen, but I have full confidence that you and your staff handle the dogs in such a way as to minimize any unwanted behavior. In addition, I have seen first hand that the staff is very observant of any medical issues a dog may have, and you keep an open line of communication with the owner and a veterinarian if needed. I have officially converted and become a fan of doggie daycare, but PARTICULARLY at Bark Avenue. I have seen other facilities that I would not feel comfortable leaving my little guy in.

Your facility is large, well-kept and very clean smelling! This is very important from a veterinary perspective, because although some illnesses in groups of animals are unavoidable, your daycare area is easy to clean and disinfect, and your protocol for keeping the area clean is of the highest standards. I also like the fact that you have an outdoor area for the dogs to play, and the structured schedule you have for feeding time, nap time, etc. The staff is always friendly and caring, and Finley feels comfortable with all of you. From a “mom” perspective, I am very happy to have a place like yours to bring Finley for exercise and socialization, rather than leaving him in a cage all day. From a doctor perspective, I am very happy to have a place to refer my patients and clients to.

In addition to the wonderful daycare services you provide, I am very impressed with your trainer and his training/behavior skills. He is so in tune with dogs and their behavior that he knows what they are going to do before they do themselves! Again, as a veterinarian, this is important to me, because I am often asked about behavior problems, and although I am able to help to a certain degree, I often need to refer to someone who can give more specialized attention to my patients in this area.

I have had my dog for 9 years, and his behavior problems have progressively worsened over this time. I have had several trainers help me, but the fixes were just temporary, and once the training session or “class” was over, I was left on my own to figure out or remember what I needed to do. Bark Avenue Daycamp has been awesome with his follow up, and is the first person that has helped me make enough progress to “see the glimmer of hope” that my dog can be good! As a result, my relationship is changing with my dog, and it is less stressful. You are not only helping my dog, but he is helping me to relax and feel more confident with my dog in social situations. This allows me to enjoy my dog more and even take him to public places more! I cannot thank you all enough for your help and kindness.

Lisa Mikol-Doering, DVM

I am Carolyn Mossberger, Executive Director of the West Suburban Humane Society in Downers Grove. We use the services of the Bark Avenue trainer regularly and have for quite some time. We have 100% trust and confidence in his abilities. He is flexible and works just as well with people as he does with the dogs, which is a rare find. We have worked with other local trainers and have not had positive results. It’s well worth the 45 minute drive to use a trainer that we know will give us results. As a non profit organization, we need to be mindful of every dollar we spend. When we utilize the services of Bark Avenue Daycamp, we are confident that our money is being well spent. Dogs from shelters have unknown backgrounds and sometimes come with baggage. This trainer has successfully rehabilitated our shelter dogs with issues such as fear, food aggression, other dog aggression, leash aggression and basic bad manners. We have such complete confidence in the trainer, several of our staff members have used him to train their own dogs. I highly recommend the trainer and services at Bark Avenue Daycamp.

Carolyn Mossberger, Executive Director of the West Suburban Humane Society

My husband, Tim, and I can not say enough good things about Bark Avenue and their staff. We sing their praises everywhere we go and have dubbed Bark Avenue’s trainer our local dog whisperer!

We learned about Bark Ave from friends after we began considering adding an American Bulldog to our family. With two smaller dogs and a six-month-old daughter we knew that socialization would be important for our pup. Little did we know that we would need a lot more than socialization!

Our “little” bundle of joy arrived weighing 10 pounds at seven weeks old. Adorable and sweet, Drago also had a bit of an aggression problem. He did not want to take any orders from me and communicated his displeasure through snarling and biting me. The breeder wanted us to put Drago down which was out of the question! While most trainers do not work with such small pups, their trainer has personal experience with Am Bulls. He took Drago in for rehabilitation for two weeks. Afterwards, he taught us how to work with Drago, so that we could better understand pack behavior and know how to maintain and continue his progress as well as rehabilitate the two other dogs we have.

Since then, Bark Avenue has been a constant resource for us as Drago has grown and pushed his boundaries as all stubborn Am Bull pups will do. We have found a great outlet in Bark Avenue’s Doggy Day Camp where Drago has become a beloved staple and works off his energy. The staff is wonderful and well-versed in how to handle dogs of all personalities and sizes. Drago has also gone through Distraction Training and is the most well-behaved seven-month-old dog you will find around. We get so many compliments on his behavior, and people are amazed at how young he is since he is now tipping the scales at 80 pounds!

On a personal note our family underwent some difficult health issues throughout the beginning of this year. Bark Avenue’s entire staff demonstrated tremendous care, concern and support not only to our dogs but to our entire family. I would, and do, recommend Bark Avenue to friends, family and strangers for their comprehensive programs, well-trained, caring staff, and remarkably talented trainer. Thank you for all you have done for us and for giving us a place to go that our dogs can call their second home!

My 5 yr old dog, Tully, recently completed his 2 week doggie “boot camp” for aggression. My dog is a totally different dog. The staff was so friendly and never minded all of my calls to check on Tully. The trainer never raises his voice, you can tell he absolutely LOVES his job and the dogs. What a shock it was to see Tully intermingling with 20 other dogs and not one problem. He spent an hour and forty five minutes with my son and I -”training” us to keep up with Tully’s training. Not to mention, that we have another follow up in a week to make sure that we have no other problems and answer any questions we might have. Staff is available by phone to answer any questions we have. Even though I live over an hour away, it was worth it knowing my dog would be treated lovingly by all that work there. I had no reservations about leaving my dog in Bark Avenue’s care. Not to mention, that Tully has learned his manners and is a pleasant dog to live with. Thank you Bark Avenue and staff!!!!

We originally brought our year and a half old Yellow Lab Mix, Chrissy, to Bark Avenue for an evaluation to have her attend daycare. She didn’t pass because she was aggressive towards the other dogs. This didn’t surprise us since we brought her to a dog park and she was aggressive to three different dogs. When we walked her and we passed another dog or person, she would always jump and get excited. As her way of greeting people at our door, she would always jump on them. We didn’t trust Chrissy in our fenced-in backyard because she would escape by jumping the fence.

Bark Avenue recommended an evaluation with their trainer. We decided to enroll Chrissy in the two week board and train program. When we picked up Chrissy two weeks later, she was a different dog! He calmed her down, so she listened and didn’t jump on people or other dogs. She heels when we walk her and listens when we tell her to sit and stay. She also comes when she’s called, even when we’re outside. After her training, a couple people came to the door and we told Chrissy to sit and stay and she did! We can even let Chrissy out in our yard by herself. Now we enjoy taking her to the forest preserve for long walks and really enjoy her and … Bark Avenue is happy to accept her in daycare!

We highly recommend. Chrissy really loved them too! When we came a week later for our follow-up visit, Chrissy was really excited to see them!

Timber came to us as an adult male from a German Shepherd rescue organization, and was supposed to be “cat friendly.” Well, sure he’s cat friendly — as long as they don’t mind playing chase with all 95- lbs. of him right on their heels… Understanding that “A tired dog is a good dog,” this led us to contemplate ways we could tire him out besides letting him run around the dog park every day, which got a little old in the middle of winter. Also, I was concerned that he might have a “bully” streak in him, based on how he treated two of my cats and certain dogs at the dog park who displayed a skittish or overly-excited energy. We heard about Bark Avenue and thought we’d give daycare a try to keep this dog tired and out of trouble.

Timber’s assessment went well, and after his first 1/2 day visit at daycare, we were advised that he wasn’t a bully at all, but that he is just a very dominant male, ready to take charge of any situation when he feels somebody needs to step up to the plate. Between the caring and competent staff at Bark Avenue, the many dogs Timber regularly gets exposed to, and the exceptional talent and attention of their trainer, they have all provided Timber and I the guidance to help him not have to go into ‘dominant mode.’ We always receive compliments on how well-behaved and obedient out dog is, and our cats are pretty thankful, too, as they now have a much more loving relationship with their very, very big brother. Timber has been a “regular” at Bark Avenue for quite some time now, and I know he has formed special relationships with many of the staff there. It gives me great comfort to know that when I drop him off for day care, not only is Timber being exercised, socialized, and mentally stimulated while he’s there, but also that so many of their staff genuinely care about him and enjoy his company as much as I do.

I will start by saying that 5 stars are not enough! Every single person that I have had contact with at Bark Avenue has been so wonderful. I am so impressed by their professionalism, and how warm and welcoming they are. Roxie and I have started training classes with Mike Simmons at Bark Avenue, and again so impressed. Mike is a great teacher. I have, and will continue to recommend Bark Avenue Daycamp. Highly qualified, caring people. Thank You.

Mindy Parsons Schaefer

The entire staff from the owners to all the handlers are extremely professional and courteous, and above all, friendly. It’s well worth the long drive for such quality training and general socialization of your pet. They have flexible offerings for your pets stay. (Partial? / half & full day.) They also offer a grooming service as well. This company sets the bar for pet services and goes well beyond! Highly recommended and your pet will love you even more for the experience!

Christopher B.

They are terrific. The trainer is practically genius. I worked with him for only an hour and he was able to teach me much better ways to control my dog. The staff is wonderful and the facilities are amazing and clean. My dog has such a great time that he doesn’t want to come home! I trust them implicitly. He spends 12-15 hours with them a week and I wouldn’t send him there if I didn’t trust them and think he was having a great time!

As always we were pleased with Bark Avenue and have been happy customers since 2009. We have taken our dogs to Bark Avenue for training, day care and boarding. Their doggie day care uses an open concept where the dogs get to roam about all day under supervision (I think there are 3 to 4 dogs per human supervisor). Each and every time we have taken our dogs there, the staff has been super friendly, helpful and seem to love what they do. This facility does not turn dogs away based on the breed. In fact, we have a pit bull who they have known since she was a puppy. The lead trainer has done a great job working with our dogs and is responsive to phone calls or emails when we have questions or need help. They offer a puppy play hour which is free. They also offer a range of group classes to include obedience, agility and other fun stuff. Check them out!

Kristine Rasmussen

Justin has helped us understand how to get her over some of her anxiety! Thank you so much Bark Avenue. Thank you Justin!

I highly recommend Bark Avenue Daycamp. It’s a wonderful facility with a great staff. Our “high energy” 1 year old Lab, Sadie, has been going for eight months. She started taring with their excellent trainer. Now she continues with three days a week at daycamp. Sadie enjoys the interaction with other dogs and the exercise daycamp provides. We’ve also been pleased with the boarding and grooming they provide. In our book, Bark Avenue rates 5 stars!

I brought my dog Sasha for a two week board and train….I can’t begin to tell you how impressed I was with the service and care she received. She was dog aggressive and I was very concerned about her being around other dogs. They assured me she would be fine…

After two days a video of her was posted showing her romping and playing with other dogs….amazing!

The staff was kind and patient with me……I called almost daily to check on her progress. They were polite and positive. They even made sure she was groomed before I picked her up.

The socialization that Bark Avenue DayCamp provides is excellent. I bring Sasha there once a week to continue her socialization and training. I trust them with her, and strongly recommend their services.

Carol B.

I would highly recommend Bark Avenue for both training and boarding. Several months ago my husband and I adopted a shelter dog who is very sweet, but can be aggressive toward me. Without Bark Avenue’s help over the last few months we would not have been able to handle our dog. They critically assessed our dog’s behavior and my reactions. They have taught me to correct my dog’s behavior humanely and effectively. I can say, without doubt, that the staff at Bark Avenue has handled my dog appropriately.

My dog recently spent the weekend at Bark Avenue, and I feel completely comfortable leaving my baby there. My dog loves the play-time he gets at Bark Avenue, and he always comes back to me a very happy and healthy dog. The staff at Bark Avenue Daycamp clearly cares a lot for the dogs they work with, and my dog loves everyone there. In fact, he happily wags his tail and can’t wait to greet them when we arrive at obedience training each week.

We adopted a Lab mix named Lola. She was very loving from the start, but also very crazy. She pulled on leash and was a little aggressive towards other dogs we met on walks. We were in over our heads. A neighbor recommended Bark Avenue so we gave them a call. Justin (the trainer), was very knowledgeable and knew exactly what we needed. Lola went to the basic obedience class and now we have a dog that walks perfectly on leash. Justin showed us how to change her behavior towards other dogs while on leash too. No more leash aggression and no more dragging us down the street. We couldn’t be happier! We also started taking Lola to daycare to socialize with her other dog friends. She plays all day and comes home with all that extra energy spent. The facility is enormous and very clean. We absolutely love it! Thank you Justin and Bark Avenue Daycamp!!

Bark Avenue Daycamp is terrific.

In our book, Bark Avenue rates 5 stars!

I can say, without doubt that the staff at Bark Avenue has handled my dog appropriately.

I feel completely comfortable leaving my baby there.
